TRADITIONAL FRESCO WORKSHOP

In Trastevere, in the heart of Rome, discover the unique opportunity to recreate a masterwork of your choiceand bring back home your personal souvenir of original Italian watercolor. In the course of a single half-day (about three hours), you will be able to realize a real fresco, reproducing original works of art.

• Discover the world of fresco in concise theory lessons on techniques and materials;

• Prepare the base for your painting using mortar on a fossil stone support; 

• Choose an artwork and reproduce its silhouette on the base with the dusting technique; choose from an Etruscan painting, a detail from Botticelli’s paintings or a masterpiece by Michelangelo

• Using natural pigments and ancient recipes, you’ll bring your artwork to life.

The workshop is also suitable for people not familiar with paintbrushes, and even children will have the opportunity to create their own fresco.
